Anyone remember me boasting about how this house was "move- in ready"?! Right when I think we are
almost done, something else comes up. For example, there was a void in the wall in laundry and after two weeks of getting it fixed, we finally went to hook up the washing machine and discovered the cold water connect is faulty. Which of course now means we wait for a plumber to come out to fix it. Oh and when we had our in-line water filtration system put in (our choice), the plumber cut into one of the pipes and noticed that they were very thin and would probably need replacing. No the house does not appear to be a lemon, we knew a these things were going to need to be repaired... it's just that we are getting a great big welcome to world of home-owning! :)
PS... Considering I grew up in this neighborhood, you would think I would have remembered that with the privacy of all of these beautiful trees surrounding you comes spiders and crickets IN YOUR HOUSE.
PPS... All of the packing, unpacking, moving, shopping, spending, decorating, fixing, mowing, weeding, trimming, cleaning, painting and bug killing is all totally worth it. We are so happy in our new house!
